Bryan Smith, P.E. is a Project Manager and joined WL Port-Land Systems in August 2013. He has been involved in engineering, construction and project management in various industries since 1994 with experience managing both domestic and foreign projects. Bryan has held positions as project engineer and project manager for FedEx Ground, Westinghouse Electric Co., Metso Minerals, and several large general contractor/construction management firms in the Pittsburgh area. Bryan’s past project work includes heavy civil/transportation and commercial construction, renovations of existing and turnkey construction of new package distribution facilities with extensive material handling systems, design and construction new nuclear power plants and related equipment in China, and design/construction of bulk material handling equipment including rotary car dumpers, train positioners, stacker/reclaimers, and apron feeders.
As Project Manager, Bryan is responsible for management and coordination of all aspects of the project execution including design engineering, permitting, schedule development, installation and construction packages, subcontractor coordination, equipment purchasing, field construction, and commissioning. He serves as the primary customer interface during the execution phase and is ultimately responsible to ensure projects are completed on-schedule, within budget, and to the quality expected by our customers.
Bryan is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania.
