Tim J. Lease, P.E.

Tim Lease, P.E. is a Principal, Chief Executive Officer, and cofounder of WL Port-Land Systems Inc. He has been involved in the engineering and construction industry since 1984. Tim has expertise in material storage and handling and process engineering, facility evaluation, and all aspects of feed mill management, design, construction, renovation, and maintenance. He served as Project Manager for the design and construction of the largest capacity feed mill at the time, producing 21,000 TPW, as well as a number of intricate facility renovations beginning with conceptual design. His project and construction management experience spans many industries including feed and grain, coal, power, aggregate and wood.

As Chief Executive Officer, Tim coordinates the direction, goals, and business philosophy of the company. He is active in sales and administration as well as contributing to conceptual and process engineering and design for potential and active projects.

Tim is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering, and is a Licensed Professional Agricultural Engineer. Before founding WL Port-Land Systems Inc., Tim was Director of Project Administration for Wagester, Walker, Thornton & Company, Inc., and earlier served as Project Manager and Feed Mill Manager for Perdue Farms, Inc. He currently serves on the Equipment Manufacturing Committee of the American Feed Industry Association and the Communications Committee of the National Chicken Council, and is a member of the International Code Council.

Tim is the author of several technical articles in various trade journals related to bulk material handling and storage. He has spoken about this topic, as well as feed mill process design, at technical industry conferences.
